you should make a map that's like a family tree kind of look, where if you go into a room with three folders (doors), in the map it shows a folder with the player in it, and three branches off of it. I don't really know how to explain it, sorry. Still a great game though!
Very original idea! Fun game! For some reason folder browsing doesn't look logical to me. Eg. when I go back a folder sometimes it seems I am in a different folder.
Congratulation your game is really funny ! Synergies are interesting. Some elements could bring challenges as for exemple following folder-to-folder creatures, items destructions for recovering, trades... nice other modes were suggested to. Maybe you would not pretend to do so but you got something here. Well done again 👍
Man, this is a pretty fun game. Its really polished. Dungeon layouts can be potentialy confusing, but they are small enough to be able to navigate them, and the right click and higlhlight from where you came out of really help with navigation. Difficulty was also at a great leve, i didnt lose a single time, but I was sometimes a bit close and had to strategize a bit. Well done :3
I would suggest this change: Every turn, all enemies will attack (or maybe some enemies can attack each x turns?). This would bring more tactics to game I think. Some difficulty balancing will be needed after this change I guess.
Very Fun!! no real threat of losing atm... esp. in later floors, hp potions everywhere means you still want to go in every folder if ur taking overheat damage, and keys are very plentiful, had 5-6 left over at the end of my run + alot of chests had keys in them
Hello, solid game you've made here. I played it as part of an event going on in the howlongtobeat.com forums where your game got voted for, and it was a lot of fun
The heat systems a bit broken. I think that it's meant to add some strategy to the game but 1. It was a bit easy to break, i had over enough heat by the end of the 3rd floor to explore every single folder and chest on all the subsequent floors if i found one or two ice creams, and my run ended with 153 heat. 2. It also (atleast for me) caused me to be less strategic and just start rushing.
All that aside, this was engaging and fun, and that's what matters. With a bit more polish and a bit more meat on its bones, this could be really good. I've already wishlisted the game on steam and I'm looking forward to the full release.
I think the problem with this game is that most people won't go back and loot through all the rooms like I do, and the difficulty of the game is designed for such people.
I'll start out by saying that the game is beautiful and almost nostalgic in a way. The game brings a refreshing twist to the rogue-like dungeon crawler genre.
The heating feature was a great addition, never reached that mark, but that could be they were too high or the fact i didnt scavenge everything.
The items seem to overpowered, and with enough of the right items it makes the game a breeze, my second playthrough i was clearing rooms in almost 2 hits. it was practically speed running the game.
The game is fun though, and i highly recommend it. loved the ending as well.
This was SUCH a fun twist on a roguelike, I can't praise it enough! It's so simple yet its clear it had a lot of love and thought put into it. Like some people have said, it DOES get a little easy towards the end or if you get lucky and get a ton of good items. However, I think it's really cool as it is and if it gets updated or more features! Here is more of my thoughts/reaction during an actual playthrough:
Nice game, very good concept, tough near the end it felt a bit easy...
This might just be me, I'd love to see a harder version of this game, maybe where overheating damage does 3 instead of 1, as I took a lot of overheating damage.

very nice idea - I am sure file browser will never look the same after that game :)
so cool!

best game ever
Amazing, But i would love if you added an endless mode to play with fun builds more. Amazing game otherwise.
YES
Cool game, I've played it many times.

Great game, very fun, just a bit too easy
fun asf, I’ve replayed it a lot just to see how broken of a build i can get. it’s very easy though, imo
I like it alot but i beat it first try :(
Simple but really really fun. I loved, thank you !
Very creative, fun, satisfying. Only downside is how easy it was, i beat it on my first attempt.
love how the doubling audio on replay is still a thing.
Really cute game! :D
This game is a masterpiece. I would love to see you keep working on it.
Was so fun to play, amazing job Ravernt!
5/5

best thing i've played in a while! i'm obsessed and can't wait for the final game to come out :') literally logged in to make this comment!
Downloaded version points to... a specific folder, rather than a relative. Thus, it doesn't launch
My mistake. Alternative way to run game is entering "Files" folder and running "Folder Dungeon.exe". It should work then
Ez, i beated first try, cute and fun. Keep the good work!
Fun and cute game
good shit, busted game, please moar
I beat the game without reading the instructions, so I didn't know you could mark doors. found a way around it though.
this is a really good game if i may ask what engine do you use? and also someday i hope to create gameas this good its a good game
I'm using Unity. Good luck with your game dev journey!

That's actually so cool! And thanks for the feedback! All of it will be addressed in full version :)
Great game! loved doin multiple runs to see what relics I've missed in my first few, and I loved making different builds.
I don't think it would be hard to just increase the size of each floor, just by increasing the chances of branching paths.
I think the problem with this game is that most people won't go back and loot through all the rooms like I do, and the difficulty of the game is designed for such people.
this was epic! love to see it progress <3
Loved playing this! Thank you so much!
Reminded me of the old text based chose your own adventure games :

this is awesome love the concept, its a really great esplainer of dungeon crawl mechanics too, could be a great education tool, loved it!
the ending really made me smile 😁 fnished it first try so maybe it could be just a lil harder, but the heat system is on point

wonderful concept, gameplay, and music. could prefer some more challenge, other than that
10/10

Adorable! Love it :)
